British rock band Bring Me The Horizon was up next as Oliver Sykes kicked off the set with the crowd chanting hit “Happy Song.” It was my first time getting to see BMTH live and it is definitely a pure live experience.
The band uses steam machines and LED lighting to really pull the entire performance together. From “The House of Wolves” to “Sleepwalking” the band and fans alike screamed loudly to song after song. Bring Me the Horizon has certainly acquired some well-deserved fame after transforming their sound from generic screamo to a well-orchestrated electronic metal sound. If you haven’t given any of BMTH’s more recent material a good listen to, I’d start now.
