Michael is inspired by all blues but also rock and pop. He's has a bluesy feel for his guitar playing and vocals which compliments the energy he puts out in his songs, which he has unconditionally dedicated his life to. Mike is a very approachable guy with a great sound and attitude.

Michael lives in Cape May, New Jersey. The music scene here is great and very much alive. Especially during the summer season, most places you go are usually someone playing music in the corner. They also have a Jazz Festival and Songwriter Festival and places like the Mad Batter which has live music year round. A lot of good players too. Michael also loves to cook and draw. He was a chef most of his life but went to art school. Creating is his happiness.

Michael puts no emphasis on trendy or current music at all. Writing is therapeutic for him and makes him happy. Wearing tight pants and growing a beard does not. He finds being competitive very helpful, it makes him try his hardest to live up to his potential.

Michael is most afraid of never getting to the point where he doesn't have to worry about having money. He is terrified to think about something happening to his hands to keep him from playing. His overall personal definition of success is to be filled with happiness all the time without trying but also being financially stable. Not necessarily for material objects but just being secure and not dealing with a balancing act all the time. Michael's overall goal is security and to keep the fight inside that wants him to become a better man any way he can. He is a good, hard working honest person and believes that will help him do well in life, and will create good karma. As far as his career, he keeps giving it his all and tries to stay competitive in this flooded market.

Three ways Michael challenges himself are..1. Gigging constantly and doing long sets moves him forward. 2. Michael cooks for the Dormer House B&B, that his wife, Diana, and singing partner run every day, and gig most nights during the busy season. It keeps him on the ball. He makes examples out of each, cooking and music, and applies them to the other one. It helps his work ethic and professionalism. He took cooking so serious therefore started taking music more serious. 3. Michael challenges himself with exercise too. If he was out of shape, it would be difficult to carry on day and night cooking then gigging. He believes its a goal already reached, and continuing to do so he has faith it will push him in the right direction toward higher goals and opportunities.
