TinCan Theatre is a five piece Theatre Company currently based in Cornwall. They met in 2013 and formed the company at Falmouth University in 2016. Through the use of physical theatre and music theatre, they aim to explore the issues that they feel are relevant to the here and now. TinCan believe in starting conversations that get themselves and their audiences thinking about their role in the world they live in and how they can make a difference.

They are influenced by the works of artists such as Kneehigh, Frantic Assembly, Verity Standen and often keep a Brechtian style to their work. They work in all kinds of forms, from verbatim theatre, music theatre, site-specific theatre, community theatre even to drag performance!

TinCan create their work based on their responses to the world around them. They take a subject that they feel needs to be given a voice and allow it to be heard. TinCan produce active and high-powered theatre that attracts both the theatre goer and those who are just curious. Their opinions are always evolving and they too are learning with their audience and for TinCan, that’s what makes it worthwhile.
