On the evening of Saturday April 16th 2016 at The Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte North Carolina Country Music Recording Artist David Britt hosted his Annual Charity Event Singin’ For A Reason.

This special musical event was inspired by and is in honor of, Holmes Desmelik, a brave little boy battling an inoperable brain tumor who is a patient at (CHOP), The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Holmes' parents are close friends of David Britt’s, and the other musicians who were participating in this event. David stated: “We love this family very much and want to do everything in our power to help their son, along with the many other children and families facing cancer”

WBTV News’ Emmy Award winning anchor Paul Cameron was the Guest MC. The artist performing were: Reeve Coobs, Dave Desmelik, David Britt with band members: Jason Scavone, Stefan Kallander, Flavio Mangione and Daniel Allison.

The evening began with singer/songwriter Reeve Coobs. Her unique sound ranges from easy going too powerful while weaving into her music a creative blend of folk, pop and country. Her thoughtful lyrics are smart and real, expressing joy, heartbreak, redemption and loss in a way that is both universal and deeply personal.

In addition to her solo career she is also on countless North Carolina made albums as a background singer. She is the Vocal Director for The Tosco Music Party’s Choir and in 2014 she joined Charlie King’s band as drummer/background vocalist. Playing acoustically the lyrics and melodies of her original songs left you wanting more.
