MSI: Hitlist - Hitlist Band of the Month

Ok, this isn't so much an editorial as it is an introduction to the IMC Magazine. In the future, I'll pretty much just tell you what's on my mind for that month. Yeh, I know how exciting THAT can be!

My name is Mark Lamdanski and my partner is Carol Riordan. We're co-owners of World Wide Indie Radio and former hosts of the award winning show, Twitter Tuesday Live (TTL). I am also the Producer and co-anchor of Indie News at Noon with Rich Wildman, the Executive Producer. Carol and I have been in the indie music industry for several years now. In October, 2014, after a 3 year run and 165 episodes, we retired our weekly show.

We've been kind of just chillin' since then, trying to figure out our next move to help promote independent music. We couldn't decide on a new show format and really just wanted to do something different.

Of course, a digital magazine isn't something different and I'm sure there are plenty of others out there that focus on the indie music scene. So, we're going to do our darndest to give you something different here. For starters, we're not going to just stick with music. We'll do our best to include content about indie film, art, books, festivals and more, much like we do an INN, but in magazine format.

Since we're going with the digital format, we can include audio and video. We think this will make the magazine more interesting and fun to read, listen or watch.

We plan to keep the subscription free! Our hopes are to be able to sell advertising space once we have a large enough distribution.

We're encouraging people who have something to contribute to do so! When we finally do sell advertising, the profits will be shared with anyone that has an article, interview, editorial, review, opinion, etc! So, if you're interested in joining the team, make sure you get in touch with us!

The overall concept of the magazine is simple; provide fun, interesting and entertaining content with the single goal of providing exposure to those that are included in the issue. How are we going do that? Well, we can't do it without your help! So, we hope that you'll tweet about us, spread the word on Facebook, pin us on Pnterest and blog the hell out of us!

We thank you, in advance, for helping us spread the love!

All the best,

Mark Lamdanski
