Even though I changed my concentration to Finance, I decided to stick with PSE for a few reasons. One, the people in the Zeta Rho chapter are awesome. But PSE has also helped me develop so much professionally and gain skills in areas that I had previously been lacking.

How do you balance your responsibilities in PSE with those of school and other organizations?

Time management. Sometimes life is so hectic, especially this semester with IB Block and two E-board positions, but I have learned how to prioritize what needs to be done and when.

Why did you decide to take a leadership role within the chapter?

PSE has given me so much through helping me grow both personally and professionally, so I felt it was only necessary to give back to the organization. I also saw some things I wanted to change and do better, so I figured having a leadership role in PSE would put me in a position to act about what I had seen.

Were your various leadership roles ever too much to handle? If so how did you deal with it?

Sometimes they can be. But I just take a deep breath, grab a coffee, and get down to business.

What has been your greatest PSE accomplishment?

Being voted Member of the Month. I have been putting in a lot of effort in my E-board position so it’s nice to see that my fellow brothers have recognized this!

How has PSE prepared you for your current or past internships?

PSE has really helped me when in the job search/interview process. The organization has given me skills, including those in sales and PR, which are not very common for someone who is applying for Finance and Accounting Internships. It has made me a very well-rounded business person. PSE has also taught me to communicate on a more professional level with recruiters and employers.

How have you personally and professionally changed since you were first initiated?

Absolutely! PSE has definitely helped my confidence levels both personally and professionally.

If you could change anything about your PSE experience what would it be?

I wish I had taken on a leadership role earlier, but having to study abroad got a little in the way of that.

Who is your PSE role model?

I would have to say Rosie. She’s been so involved with PSE since the very beginning of our chapter and she is constantly trying to find new ways to improve our chapter and our members.
