We recently asked Hilda what advice she would give to shareholders who are just starting their careers . We were curious what advice she might go back and give herself on her first day at NANA . She told us , “ I would tell shareholders that the sky is the limit . You can go as far as you want to go with your education and have a career here . Be who you are , listen and be part of what is going on around you . Don ’ t be silent .” She finished by telling us , “ Put your feet on the ground and try to do your best to learn the job that you ’ re in . There is a lot of help here at NANA and we offer a lot of opportunities for those who want to be here . If shareholders decide they want to work somewhere else and grow themselves and have a career elsewhere , you know what ? We were able to give them a head start and that is something NANA can be proud of .”
A small luncheon was held at NANA ’ s office in Anchorage to honor Hilda and her decades of service to our shareholders . From left to right : Fallon Fairbanks , Maude Blair , Gary Haas , Hilda Haas , Peter Jones , Brixley Jones , Cheryl Sun , Brittany Jones , Colson Jones and Fred Sun .
