What ’ s happening at Akima
Akima has had numerous recent awards , events , and wins . Here are just a few of our many accomplishments from the past quarter :
• Akima Systems Engineering won a $ 55M , fiveyear contract with the U . S . Indo-Pacific Command to modernize critical IT and communications infrastructure crucial for national security .
• Four team members from Akima Global Technology received Patriotic Employer awards from the Office of the Secretary of Defense for their dedication to supporting employees in the Reserve and National Guard .
• Akima has been awarded the 2025 Military Friendly ® designation . This recognition underscores Akima ’ s commitment to supporting veterans transitioning into the civilian workforce . G . I . Jobs magazine featured Akima in the 2025 Military Friendly ® Employers section of its winter issue and on www . militaryfriendly . com .
• Akima welcomed several new senior leaders , including Rachael Duffy as vice president of marketing , communications , and government relations ; Russell Aldrich as the vice president of business development for Akima ’ s Mission Systems , Engineering & Technology Group ; Jonathan Peppard as our vice president of strategic capture ; Michael Dallara as general manager of Akima Global Technology ( AGT ); and Jon Stringfield as general manager of Arctic Peak .
• The Pinnacle Solutions ' Unmanned Aircraft Systems Instruction and Mission Support ( UASIMS ) team won the UASIMS Army Aviation Association of America ( AAAA ) Materiel Readiness Award at the AAAA Cribbins Readiness Conference .
• Akima sponsored and attended the Interservice / Industry Training , Simulation and Education Conference , the world ' s largest modeling and simulation event , which took place in Orlando , Florida . The conference draws nearly 18,000 attendees from industry , government , and academia , and features over 450 exhibits .

• Akima opened a new office in Tampa , Florida . The occasion was marked with an official ribboncutting ceremony attended by local customers , officials , and prominent community members . This spring we will also open a new office facility in Huntsville , Alabama .
