Matt is currently working his comedy craft
while being “home schooled” and
because of his quick climb in the comedy
world he has been able to befriend some
of the biggest names in the business who
immediately spotted his talent and
encouraged him to continue growing
as an artist.
While comedy has assisted in his quick
career climb, a lot of it has to be
credited to social media because
this medium has allowed Matt
to express himself, and while doing
so many in the comedy industry
have taken notice.
Using social media, performing on
stage by opening for several
comedians, while also meeting
many comics such as DL Hughley,
Ralphie May, Finesse Mitchell,
Tommy Davidson, Dane Cook,
Erik Griffin, Tony Rock, Bill Bellamy,
and DeRay Davis (just to name a
few), Matt has quickly gained the
respect of the veterans in the
business.
Word spread quickly about the
“kid” who can rock an urban
as well as a mainstream
audience while his talents,
looks, story, and personality
have earned him the
nickname/tagline of "The
Justin Bieber of Comedy".
While his resume is continuing
to grow, his mark on the
comedy world continues to
grow also. The young high
schooler is already being
noticed in comedy
competitions such as Bay
Area Black Comedy
Competition where he
came in second and tied
with Nick Cannon as
youngest comic to ever be
in the finals. If you watched this
past season of Comic View you
would have seen him on that also.
