Tanning beds are known to also cause burnt skin. If you happen to live up north where there's hardly any sun, or have extremely light skin, tanning beds may be your guilty pleasure. Especially during the winter time. Who doesnt want to have that summer glow to their skin at all times? Many have said that getting an artificial tan is safer than laying out in the natural sun. The truth is, is that they are both equally dangerous. Sure they may not be cheaper than most branded tanning lotions, but one out every five people who use them get sunburned. Most people who begin using beds, like to go every daya
Many people do this, because they enjoy the relaxation of the tanning time it gives them. When you first begin using beds to get tanned, you should go every day until you build up your base. Once you have done so, begin to go only two to three times a week. For those of you who have sensitive skin, make sure you take notice of how your skin reacts to the UV radiation. If your skin is, dry, itchy, and pink, then it means you're making too many trips to the salon! Keep note that sunburn is a slow healing process, although gels and creams do help, especially with soothing the painful, burning feeling.
Summertime is around the corner and we are all so ready for a fun in the sun vacation! We can't shut up about our exciting plans for the beach and water parks. School has been so overwhelming for the most of us and we can't wait to get out! I bet a few of us are counting the days and already have our bags packed with refreshing items such as, a towel, hat, flip-flops, sunglasses, an umbrella, etc. One of the most important items that should definitely be in that bag is sunscreen, especially if you have really sensitive skin. Relaxation at the beach is the perfect way to get your tan on but, sometimes we may fall asleep and wake up in pain looking cherry red. Yikes
Sunscreen will help prevent sunburn from attacking our so-ready-for-a-tan skin. Sunburn is a radiation burn caused by overexposure to the sun’s toxic ultraviolet rays. Yes it may seem like the burn will go away in time but, what many people don't know is that sunburn actually causes long lasting damage to the skin. Too much skin burn on one person may be life threatening as it is a leading cause of skin cancer. One of the most common types of skin cancer is Melanoma which, is mainly found on body parts that receive the most sunlight throughout the day. Too much exposure of the sun will also prematurely age our skin. Our extremely bright and hot sun is a natural way of getting sunburned, but it isnt the only way of getting irritated skin.
