I am honored to be entrusted with a magazine that represents a truly Global generation. So far, the experience has been intense, fast-paced, challenging, and incredibly rewarding! The Hultian Magazine is a celebration of our diverse, dynamic and talented student body.
Welcome to the first edition of 2018. We want it to be entertaining and informative, but above all useful. Inside you’ll find a mixture of features on a wide range of topics representing our Global population. Dee Gee gives us key insights for the Dubai rotation, Katharina shares how her HBC project helped her achieve her entrepreneurship dreams, we learn about what it is like to participate in the HULT Prize Challenge, get inspired from amazing students giving back through volunteering for great causes, Grace shares touching lessons she learned outside the classroom, we have a feature on productivity and a guide to find work in the U.S!
Looking back at the pictures and reading stories from my peers reminds me of the importance of surrounding ourselves with positive images, stories and moments that elevate, uplift and inspire us.
What is it really like to work for a student magazine?
It feels like the real deal. Wow it’s intense! The Hultian functions like a real business and is run entirely by students. Being a part of the Hultian, instills a sense of responsibility and pride for writers, editors, marketers, contributors, etc.
It’s not all work!
In addition to collaborating with smart people, the Hultian is a great place to bond with people you wouldn’t have met otherwise. We organize socials such as the Speed Dating we hosted on Valentine's day or the writing workshops from our Sip and Write series. We also have the opportunity to leverage from each others expertise.
Thank you!
Our words of thanks must be incomplete so that they aren’t a thousand lines long. Giant thanks to the people who contributed articles and helped us build our publication —and to you, our readers, for making it all real.
I hope you'll take a moment this month to let me know some of your favorite stories. Do let us know if there are any topics you’d like to see covered in the future and if writing, editing, photographing, working on tech, marketing or handling the business side of things sounds even a teensy bit interesting to you, contact us!
