Riverside Pie Café is Windsor/Essex County’s only pie kitchen committed to serving sweet and savoury pies using the region’s seasonal offerings. Everyone loves pie and pie can be enjoyed for all occasions. We will be offering whole 9” pies (48 hour pre-order to insure freshness), 5” handheld and potpies. Enjoy a slice in our café or take it out to enjoy in your home. Our pies are all handcrafted from scratch and our crust is all butter and flour made with care. How is Riverside Pie Cafe different from the competition? We don't view ourselves as a competitor; we like to think that we are complementary to the local independent food scene. Our goal is to support like-minded food entrepreneurs promoting quality products made with passion using our neighbours’ ingredients. Why did you choose Wyandotte Street East as the location? Olde Riverside has a special feel about it. A great mix of over 40 small businesses make up the BIA; a balance of long time residents, new families to the area and being on a busy thoroughfare makes it convenient for all to shop with us. Does the name have a story behind it? Riverside Pie Café, as simplistic as it sounds, does have a story behind it. Think traditional flavours with a contemporary presentation. This takes on several meanings. Olivia Ryan is the daughter of Chris Ryan (Patrick O. Ryan’s; Howl at the Moon; Jose’s) so it is a wonderful opportunity for me to work and learn from my dad. Olde Riverside is one of Windsor’s oldest and desired neighbourhoods, pie is a traditional comfort food and café sheds light on a modern contemporary setting where friends meet and neighbours frequent. Traditional comfort food served fresh with a creative flair.
