Between this increased interest and the viral nature of the Internet, it's likely that at least one person you know is training for some kind of event that has popped up on your Facebook newsfeed. Running is a sport that almost anyone can pick up and no matter your goal, it is a challenge that can lead to feelings of great accomplishment. Have you caught the running bug too? If you’re new to the sport or just giving it some thought, ask one of your running friends if you can tag along with them on their next jaunt and see for yourself what it’s all about. There are zombie runs popping up early October (and charity runs like the CIBC Run for the Cure, Oct. 6) are coming very soon. Charity runs and fun runs are a great way to get started, as they usually include both beginners and more practiced runners.
