“It’s been thirty years since I haven’t been in pain.”
You’d never know it to look at her, but Judie Ives-Acton lives every
day with chronic pain, fatigue, concentration issues and memory
problems. “It took two to three years and several misdiagnoses
before they decided I had Lupus,” Ives-Acton said, detailing the trials
of figuring out what was causing her chronic pain. “I was sent to a
rheumatoid arthritis specialist who handed me a medical journal
and said ‘This is what you have.’ They called it fibrositis.”
