What is The Hungry Pooch and why should our readers
be excited?
We are Windsor’s first & only raw food pet shop! The first
of its kind in Windsor-Essex County, we offer only raw pet
food for dogs and cats. We also offer supplements and treats
related to a healthy raw diet.
Our staff is all certified nutrition specialists to help guide
you and your pet to better health. Whether it’s allergies or
chronic kidney or liver issues, we can certainly provide you
with answers and suggestions.
How is The Hungry Pooch different from the competition?
We’re here to help guide pet parents on better nutrition
for their pet. We customize meal plans to each pet, and are
here to educate pet owners on nutrition for their canines and
felines. We sell only raw food diets, treats and supplements. We
also believe in community, and as such, offer programs for
rescues, breeders and our Kick The Kibble Campaign (any
donated kibble is given to a new local rescue each month).
Why did you choose Grand Marais Rd. as the location?
We want to be as accessible as possible for our
community. We are a 30-second drive from E.C. Row, and just
2 minutes from Huron Church and the 401.
Does the name have a story behind it?
Our pooch Jellybean is our inspiration behind our store
and way of life. The Hungry Pooch is so named because our
Jellybean gets so excited for mealtime that became her
nickname.
