A lighthouse warns the ships at sea and guides them onto the right path, often
during a storm or in a time of darkness.
The Glengarry Lighthouse, located off the courtyard at Wheelton Manor in
Windsor, provides a service which is similar, guiding others away from the dark
and into the light. The lighthouse acts as a safe place for people who may have
grown up without guidance or haven’t mastered basic life skills. The lighthouse
also provides people with help filing their taxes or finding employment. There
have also been instances where guests of the lighthouse have helped others with
moving into a new home or with paying their rent.
