Accessible Spaces The City of Windsor is designing and constructing new spaces for children to exercise, play and imagine. The Parks Development department will install five new accessible themed playgrounds in five different parks across the city this year. “The City of Windsor is reviewing all the existing play units to determine which ones are most appropriate for today’s parks,” explains Mike Clement, Manager of Parks Development, for the City of Windsor. “Our long-term plan is to feature themed play units in community/regional parks with designs that complement the location.” Current proposals or completed projects include: Aylmer Comfort Station - Pirate Ship Theme Captain Wilson Park - Firefighter Theme Ford Test Track Park - Automotive Theme Kiwanis Park - Lighthouse Aquatic Theme Little River Acres Park - Castle Theme Mic Mac Park - Prehistoric Theme Remington Booster Park - Space Ship All natural breads make the best back to school lunches!
