All art belongs to the artists, please do not reuse! Student Art Submission: Katherine Dillemuth 1.What inspired you to pursue art? “My grandfather, Papa Skip, was an artist and painted countless works. He’s definitely one of my main inspirations. The other main influence has to be the cartoons I watched when I was younger. I wanted to create my own world and characters and that’s exactly what I’m setting out to do.” 2.What was your inspiration for the two pieces displayed? “The girl in the orange suit is based off of the show, Dragon Ball Z, which I started watching recently. This started off as a simple doodle, but I liked it so much that I decided to go over it digitally.” She said. “The second piece is an icon I made for myself to use on my social media accounts. There isn’t much inspiration behind it.” 3.Where do you want to go with your art? “I’d love to get a degree in something art related.” She says. “However, it’s so hard to get into the art industry. If I can’t get a job with a good pay out of it, I’d like to do freelance commissions.”
