Treble Threat:
Walden Grove Acapella
What’s With the Title? What Is Jazz-Mad?
The Walden Grove Acapella group
(renamed Treble Threat due to it being
solely composed of female singers
(huehuehue)) has existed for roughly
one and a half years, but recently
traveled to Flagstaff to participate in
the Northern Arizona University
Jazz-Madrigal Festival for the very
first time. The Jazz-Madrigal festival (commonly
referred to as Jazz-Mad) took place in
Flagstaff from February 10th-11th, with
Treble Threat performing on Feb. 11th.
The festival consists of two parts: the
Madrigal part, where choirs perform in
local churches, and the Jazz Part,
where small groups such as Treble
Threat perform in Ardrey Auditorium.
There, Treble Treat presented a
repertoire of three songs: Mister
Sandman, Say A Little Prayer, and Mas
Que Nada.
