Pima Community College is great for students looking into careers that only require
associates or a certification. Pima offers a variety of different degrees from fine arts
degrees to nursing. Another great thing about Pima is its ability to transfer credits,
which allows you to save money. At Pima, you can take all of your general education
courses for a lot less than at universities. After your gener al education classes are
finished, they all transfer over to state universities where you can finish up your degree.
This also works great if you didn't get a chance to take your foreign languages in high
school. You can take your foreign language at Pima, and still be accepted into a
university that requires foreign language after you're finished with the class. Pima also
offers many certificate programs through JTED for student still in highschool, so you
can get a job right out of school. Pima is also very close to home, with six different
campuses all in and around Tucson, which makes attending college very easy. All of
these programs, along with being affordable and offering online classes, makes Pima a
great college option.
