Northern Arizona University Northern Arizona University is a little out of the way, but it’s one of the most affordable state universities in Arizona. Their online programs are affordable, and they accept transfer credits from almost all community colleges in Arizona. That means you can complete a four year degree, with half of your classes at the price of a community college. Snagged yourself a scholarship? With most universities, a full tuition scholarship doesn't actually cover all four years of school. The scholarships only give you money for the tuition rate at the time that you received the scholarship, but tuition continues to go up while you’re in school, so by the time you graduate, your scholarship covers less and less. At NAU, their fixed tuition rates makes sure this doesn't happen. The price of your degree will be the same even if tuition goes up. Not a fan of large schools? NAU has “a smaller campus with all the amenities as larger universities” so you can have all the same experiences without getting lost in the crowd (Mr. Carle, Music Education and Performance).
