Community Events Varsity Football The guys on the Varsity team talk to us about how they prepare for a game, how they celebrate a win and much more. They talked about if they’re ever gonna play in college, they all said yes, except for David who has other plans for his future. Another question that was asked is “How do you manage your grades and football?”, Travis said “To work hard, be organized and manage your time wisely.” while the rest of the boys said to put school first. We also talked to the coaches during the interview. We asked how they motivate their team, May told us “To be honest and to reach/make goals for themselves.” Noble told us that he likes to challenge his boys and to have high expectations. And we then asked what their favorite football movie was, Noble said “Any Given Sunday” May said “The Program”. The boys have been “Preparing for every game and are ready for whatever the future has in store for them! Freshman for the Win Two of the boys that play on the freshman team, Roe Stephens (9) & Damion Salas (9), talked about if high school football is what they thought it’d be, Damion said yes, unlike Roe who said “No, it’s harder”. We then talked to them about what college they would play for, Damion responded by saying he’d play for Oregon, Roe says that he’d play for ASU. The two have had quite an experience playing football, Salas has been playing since he was 2, and Stephens has been playing for two years now. The Freshman boys are ready to get that win and aren’t backing down from a fight!
