Upper Grade math and science teacher Alissa White was working as an economist in the utility industry when she enrolled her son Larkin in preschool at The Fulton School at St. Albans, CDS’s sister campus at the time. She was immediately drawn to the classroom and community, and became so interested in the Montessori philosophy she knew she wanted to pursue teaching as a “second act” career. Twenty-one years and countless students later, she has become a valued part of the Chesterfield Day School story. With the announcement of her retirement at the end of this school year, we wanted to take an opportunity to speak with Mrs. White about her time at CDS, and ask her to share some of her favorite memories.
