every weekend, wanting to help out in
any way he could. Not only did Habitat for Humanity provide volunteers
from the surrounding area, but
local churches and other organizations like the Lion’s Club provided
lunches for all the volunteers and
staff. The house was completed
in August of 2011, and this year
marked the two year anniversary of
Stephanie’s move into her new home.
Next year, it will also bring her first
wedding anniversary.
Since moving into their new home,
her children are thriving. Within walking distance of both the school and
work, the new house is wonderfully
freedom to decorate their rooms with
paint colors of their choosing, which
was quite a big deal. “In the trailer, we
could only hang pictures.” Stephanie
said, “Being able to paint really made
our new house feel like it’s really ours.”
