Starting with the next issue, The Hometown Treasure
will look very different from the current design. We
have decided that is time to redesign and refocus this
publication by updating the look to a more modern
one and having more human interest articles in addition to news. Before anyone worries though, all of
the same articles, features, and contests that you love
will still remain, including our extensive coverage of
Westview School Corporation activities.
Some of the more major changes to the design include having a glossy cover (similar to most magazines)
and ... color pages throughout the entire magazine.
That means no more pages that are only black and
white. We want to provide a better experience to our
readers by having the paper be entirely in color, but we
also don’t want to upset those that advertise in black
and white with a huge price increase because we are
forcing them to use color. We are working very hard
to change our pricing structure so that color ads can
be affordable to all advertisers!
We enjoy putting out The Hometown Treasure every
month. It is a labor of love that we need our readers
AND local businesses to support. The more we can
get the support of businesses through advertising or
sponsoring contests and columns, the more time we
are able to spend on producing the best local news and
