LaGrange Ministerial Association Award
Earlier this summer, the LaGrange
County Community Foundation
(LCCF) Board of Directors declared the
month of July as LaGrange Ministerial
Association (LMA) Month and stipulated that all donations to the LCCF
Good Samaritan Fund during that
month would be matched dollar-fordollar in support of the association’s
efforts to provide emergency transportation funds for indigent individuals.
The transportation support is typically
in the form of gas cards for folks suddenly stranded in our county and with-
out funds while in route elsewhere.
Community response to the challenge was brisk and at the September
meeting of the LMA, the Community
Foundation awarded $1700.00 to the
attending membership. The LaGrange
County Community Foundation frequently works with the local ministerial associations in their efforts to
improve the quality of life in LaGrange
County. The LCCF mission is to inspire
and sustain generosity, leadership and
service.
