Westview Elementary
Chicken!
by Jerry Hostetler
Westview Elementary School held
its annual chicken BBQ in October.
Proceeds from the event are used to
raise funds for the sixth grade Chicago
and fifth grade Indianapolis field trips.
Once again this year, the event was a
big success. A total of 6,650 chicken
halves were sold this year, compared to
6,600 sold last year.
Mr. Kevin Miller’s fifth grade class
sold the most tickets for this year’s
BBQ, 602. According to Mr. Miller, the
top three sales people in his class were,
Chandler Pushman who sold a total of
97 tickets, Gabriel Miller who sold 83
tickets and Bethany Lambright who
sold 79 tickets.
