The Westview Jr. High boys and
girls cross-country teams recently
finished their very successful 2012
season. The boys had a perfect 14-0
record for the first time in over ten
years. They finished in first place at
the Manchester Invitational and at
the New Haven Invitational. According to coach, Don Williams, his team
beat West Noble’s streak of twelve
undefeated seasons by defeating the
Charger runners by eleven points. The
JV boys finished first in the state meet.
The Warriors had two of their runners
named to the All-State Middle School
Cross Country team, Roman Miller and
Matthew Yoder. Miller and Yoder finished sixth and seventh respectively in
the state meet. The Jr. High boys then
topped off their season by winning the
Land of Lakes conference meet for the
first time in seventeen years.
The Westview girls cross-country
team also enjoyed a fine season as they
placed second at the New Haven meet
and came in third place at the conference meet.
