S&H Metal To Expand
In Topeka
S&H Metal Products, Inc. and the
LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation, in conjunction
with the Town of Topeka, announced
in April the expansion of S&H Metal
Products at their manufacturing
facilities in Topeka. The project will
include the purchase of approximately
$800,700 in new manufacturing
equipment that was necessitated by
the growth in their current markets,
as well as to provide new opportunities for continued growth and
diversification.
S&H Metal Products Inc. manufactures a variety of sheet metal products
for a broad range of industries, from
the recreational vehicle industry to
decorative home products. Founded in
1972 in Topeka, S&H Metal products
has grown from 2 employees to 25 currently. At least 3 new jobs are expected
to be created, by the expansion, paying
$22.93/hour in addition to the retention of their 25 current employees.
The Town of Topeka council, at
the request of the LaGrange County
Economic Development Corporation,
approved the use of personal property
tax phase-in on the investment into
the new equipment for up to 10 years.
“The new equipment will give us
the needed production capacity to fill
demand for our products,” said Fritz
Helmuth, President of S&H Metal
Products, Inc. “This demand is being
driven by the both the resurgence of
the recreational vehicle industry as
well as by our competitive pricing, and
we are glad to make this investment in
our hometown. We’ve enjoyed a great
relationship with Topeka and LaGrange County over the years, and we
are happy to continue to build on it.”
