Westview Students Inducted Into International Thespian Society
Eight Westview High School students were inducted into Westview’s
Chapter of International Thespian Society (ITS) by their peers on Wednesday,
May 9, at the Topeka Library. Inductees
this year were Erika Byler, Sarah Brugger, Charlotte Jones, Bill Hites, Katy
Rinehart, Lexi VanDeMark, Jordan
Blank, and Jessica Mishler. The induction ceremony was done by this year’s
officers: Tennelle Flowers, president;
Kiersten Reeve, vice president; Ben
Cramer, secretary; and Briauna Wisler,
publicist.
In addition to the students being
inducted, each year an honorary membership is presented to an adult that
is active in Westview’s theater department. This year’s adult recipient was
Jerry Glenn, being honored for all the
work he does on set construction every
year. Previous year’s adult inductees are
Pam Flowers and Tom Eash.
