On May 3rd, the fifth-grade classes
from Westview Elementary enjoyed a
visit to the Circle City, Indianapolis.
After a tour of the State Capitol and
time spent roaming the State Museum,
the group enjoyed the lovely May
weather investigating the animals at
the Indianapolis Zoo. During the trip,
the students were treated to many new
learning experiences that included a
personal lesson on state government
from local Senator Sue Glick as well as
a trained dolphin show at the zoo. The
kids returned to school with a deeper
understanding of the government and
history of our state, as well as a little
sunburn.
