sectional championship match against

team won the sectional title as well

senior seasons. “Playing sports is a
stress outlet for me,” said Miller. “It
helps me keep my mind off of school.”
Miller is a very dedicated student who has kept her grades at an
extremely high level during her time
at Westview. During her time in the
classrooms, her favorite classes have
been landscaping with Mr. Baker and

This year’s softball team continues
to take strides towards improving the
program at Westview. With every week
that passes it seems as if the squad
squashes the old persona around the
team. They are no longer getting beat
by the ten run rule.
“I think we’ll remember this
season by the close games we’ve had.
We were in three-fourths of the games
that we’ve played this season,” said
assistant coach Mike Antal. Antal said
that the close games are a positive step
towards rebuilding the attitude around
the team. The Lady Warriors have
lost four games by only one run this
season. Sometimes a team’s record does
not reflect the games that almost went
