Students Participate In “Shipshe Relays”
Students at Shipshewana-Scott
Elementary School participated in the
Annual “Shipshe Relays” in May. The
event was organized around seven
different stations of non-competitive
relays.

Wana Walkers Club
Shipshewana-Scott Elementary
School started a” Wana Walkers Club”
to promote exercise and good health.
Students walk or run around the track
at school during their recess. Once they
have accumulated 5 miles, they put a
paper shoe in the hallway. Fifty-eight
students participated in the program
of Topeka
for a total of 367 shoes and 1835 miles
logged. Mrs. Bowen’s fourth grade
class had 100 percent participation in
the program. Winford and Nate Jones,
both avid runners, helped to encourage
the students and advocate how important it is to get regular exercise.
