Westview Junior-Senior High School Information
Westview Jr. Sr. High School will be holding
orientation for incoming seventh-graders on Mon.,
Aug. 8, at 6:30 pm in the High School auditorium.
Registration for grades 8-12 will be Tues., Aug. 9, from
8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wed., Aug. 10, from 11 a.m to 5 p.m.,
and Thur., Aug. 11, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Junior High
textbook rental and lunch fees may be paid at that time.
Book rental for seventh grade is $110 and eighth grade
is $115. Lunch in the cafeteria has increased slightly
this year to $2 per day with breakfast remaining the
same at $1.75 per day.
The first day of school for all students in grades
seven through twelve will be Wed., Aug. 17, starting at
Annual LaGrange 4-H Fair
The 58th Annual LaGrange County Fair will be
held July 9th through the 16th and is sure to have
something for everyone.
This year 613 kids are enrolled in the 4-H program
and they will be showing their exhibits all week long.
4-Her’s involved in the livestock portion of the fair
will be presenting their animals either in the sheep,
beef, horse, rabbit, dairy cattle, poultry, cat, dog, draft
horse, llama, goat and swine shows. 4-Hers involved in
other programs exhibit their projects in the community
building, there you will find; cake decorating, models,
electric, scrapbooking, photography, fishing, forestry,
and foods just to name a few.
Featured events taking place this year at the fair
include NTPA Tractor pulling, Farm Truck Pull,
Thunder Country Idol, The Queen Contest, Fireworks,
Kevin Heller’s Night Magic, Farm Tractor Pulls and
Super Cross Motorcycle Races.
New to the fair this year is the Wagon Wheel Rodeo,
Outlaw Monster Truck Competition & local Mud Drag
Competition, the Welde’s Big Bear and Grizzly Falls
and Allan & Ashcraft’s Free Country Concert.
Kids always enjoy “Bounce Park” the pedal pull,
the petting zoo and this year they will have even more
fun as a carnival returns to the LaGrange County
Fairgrounds. A complete schedule is available on the

School picture day for the high school will be Wed.,
Aug. 24 and for Junior High Thur., Aug. 25.
Shore and Marion Mennonite
Annual Vacation Bible School
Shore and Marion Mennonite Churches invites the
community to join them for their annual Vacation Bible
School. The theme will be "Following In The Footsteps.”
It will take place at Shore Mennonite Church, June 26
to 30, from 6 to 8:30 pm each night. Children will hear
Bible stories, learn verses, and do crafts.
