Shipshewana Town News Soon after being named the Shipshewana Town Manager, I received an e-mail from Jerry Hostetler of the “Hometown Treasure”. He reminded me that part of my job was to provide a periodic piece of newsworthy information about the Town of Shipshewana for inclusion into the publication. So, I’ve jotted down some of my thoughts. As somewhat of an outsider to the Shipshewana community, I began to recognize on my first day how dynamic the community is when compared to many others. It has become a terrific example of what is a central principle of marketing; namely, “branding”. Most people clearly recognize that New York is the “City That Never Sleeps”.
