Outstanding Warrior Marchers Recognized by Dan Byler Twentieth Annual Marching Band Award Ceremony As usual, the salads and deserts brought in by students in marching band, perfectly complemented the scalloped potatoes and ham provided by the Westview Music Association. Band director, Mr. Mike Brown noted that this is the twentieth time this award ceremony has been held. Six seniors were recognized and awarded with camping chairs: Ted Berger, Ben Cramer, Mack Grobis, Samantha Miller, Kiersten Reeve, and Daniel Ritter. All students that participated in band week and the state fair competition were recognized. Mr. Brown awarded trophies to this year’s top five marchers, as selected by the students themselves for the 2012 marching season, and a trophy to winner of the color guard award. The evening concluded with a slide show of photos from all the events in which the band p articipated and a video of their performance at the state fair.
