Caramel Apple Crisp
10 cups apple slices
Jar of caramel ice
cream topping
1/3 cup white sugar
1 tsp cinnamon (divided)
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup quick oatmeal
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup butter or margarine
Layer apple slices in greased 9 x
13 pan. Combine sugar and ½ tsp
cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.
Pour about 2/3 jar of caramel ice
cream topping over the apples.
Combine flour, brown sugar, oats,
baking powder, nutmeg and ½ tsp
cinnamon. Cut in butter to make
coarse crumbs. Spread over apples.
Bake at 375° for 45-55 minutes.

Holiday Pops Concert At Westview
The Fort Wayne Philharmonic’s Holiday Pops concert, which claims a warm
spot in the hearts of hundreds of LaGrange County families, returns this year
to ring in the holidays. Continue the tradition in LaGrange County and purchase

Presented by the LaGrange County Cultural Arts Council, Holiday Pops 2011
will be 7 pm Tuesday, November 29, at Westview High School’s Wilson Auditorium. Doors open for general admission seating at 6:30 pm.
With newly appointed Philharmonic Assistant Conductor Sameer Patel at
the podium, this year’s Holiday Pops will include selections from “The Nutcracker,” “Carol of the Bells,” the annual Christmas sing-along and of course “Sleigh
Ride.” Holiday Pops will also feature a talented soprano, singing “Ave Maria” and
other holiday favorites.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors, and children younger than 6 are
