The first thing they said, was this person never expected to be in the chamber business, and the next thing they said, was this person was hired as temporary help, and then I started putting two and two together.” After the official announcement of her nomination Beth said, “It took three hours for my heart to start beating normally. She concluded by stating, “It’s quite an honor and I just love what I do and evidently it shows.” Sherman began her tenure with the chamber in 2006. When she was hired, the chamber had 146 members.
