Jon Cook and his assistants are working very hard towards improving. “The coaches have been great first of all, for dealing with the dynamic group of girls that we are, but also in finding the right ways to motivate us to want to do well. The new assistant coaches Mike Watts and Nate Mauck bring great knowledge and motivation also that will be beneficial to us,” stated Bender. The team is very talented this year and their strengths include their experience and the individual greatness of each member. However, the team lacks depth. “We are a well rounded team but there is very little depth if injuries were to occur,” Bender said. The girls are on pace to have a terrific season. They will have to prove their talent in the Conference and Sectional meets.
