over and over, “Where are you from?”
and “Where are you going?” He said
he also gets a kick out of the southern
drawl, which is sometimes hard to
understand.
“The trip is pretty much going as
planned,” said Owen. He went on to
say, “We stop along the way when we
hear birds singing and we’ve seen a lot
of birds already that we don’t see up
north.” They still plan on spending two
weeks bird watching once they reach
Brownsville, which should take about
ten more days. They’ve also enjoyed
the scenery and some of the wild
country that they’ve traveled through.
The boys’ goal was to make the trip in
three weeks and then spend two weeks
birding.
After spending their bird watching
time in Texas, they will board a train,
around the middle of April, and head
back north to Chicago, where their parents, Herman and Kathryn Yoder, will
be anxiously awaiting their return.
