Annual SRMA Banquet
On March 21, the Shipshewana Retail Merchants
Association held their annual banquet at The Town
Center. The evening brought announcements such as
this year’s Grand Marshall of the Mayfest parade being
Kathy Miller and that Kevin Lambright has assumed
the role of board president.
The keynote speaker for the evening was Roger
Brooks. Brooks has spoken to the SRMA before and
his main area of expertise is tourism and how small
towns can become the best attraction to guests wanting
to spend money. The night’s seminar was a large focus
on marketing,
business strategies,
and how to make
downtown Shipshewana into a place
locals want to be.
