In order to help youth who are financially disadvantaged the LCYC offers all youth services free to participants. Operating through grants and donations, the organization has offered free bowling clinics, music lessons, and summer adventure programs for youth. The LCYC was also instrumental in creating the Disc Golf course at Delt Church Park. For the past five years the LCYC has conducted a free after school program at both Lakeland Middle School and Westview Elementary. Perhaps the biggest undertaking for the LCYC is yet to come. The organization recently received a generous donation of 14 acres of land. The land, located on the north side of LaGrange, will be used to create a youth center and recreational facility. Plans are currently underway to begin phase one of the development. The project will be financed through grants and private donations. The donation of this land opens up many new possibilities for the LCYC and will help the organization fulfill its vision of bringing wholesome, positive activities to the youth of LaGrange County.
