Some people become more devil conscious than they are God conscious. As a result, they
give place to the devil and he defeats them in life. But Jesus said, "And ye shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).
As I have already said, many things that happen which people are calling the devil are not the
devil at all. Certainly, the devil may take advantage of a situation where the works of the flesh
are being manifested. But if you will deal with the flesh, the devil won't have anything to work
with.
If you will do what the Bible says, if you will ". . . present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,
acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable [or spiritual] service" (Rom. 12:1) and "Neither
yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin . . " (Rom. 6:13), the devil
won't be able to have any place in you.
It is certainly true that there are those who are bound by the enemy, and of course all bondage
is of the devil, either directly or indirectly. That doesn't always mean there is a direct presence
of an evil spiri B
