When Agabus prophesied about the drought, the people began immediately to make preparations in order to help the saints who lived where the drought was coming. The Holy Spirit and His Gifts In Acts chapter 21 we read again about the prophet Agabus. Paul and his company (among whom was Luke, the writer of the Book of Acts) were at Philip's house. ACTS 21:10,11 11 And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. 11 And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, THUS SAITH THE HOLY GHOST, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles. Notice that the Holy Spirit revealed something through Agabus. When any revelation is given by the unction of the Holy Spirit, it is always a word of wisdom, a word of knowledge, or discerning of spirits because these are the only three gifts of revelation. No others are listed in the Bible. Note also that the spiritual gift demonstrated in Acts 21:11 was not a word of knowledge because it told of something that would take place in the future.
