The Hole Story Vol. 15 Issue3 | Page 3

FROM THE DESK OF OUR Executive Director Dear Reader, As 2018 comes to a close, we are excitedly preparing for the 2019 season. Over the past year we saw over 15,000 rounds of tournament golf played by our 2,055 members. It’s incredible to think that the majority of these rounds happened in a span of three months! While we are proud of our growth and the number of programs we are able to offer, these are coming at increasing cost to the Association. Our host facilities are some of the most generous we could ever hope to work with, but inevitably, increases in greens fees, range use, food and beverage and other costs make it more and more difficult for the Association to maintain a break-even budget each year. We understand many of you already contribute very generously to the most-worthy charities and causes. Some of you have very kindly supported the IJGA already, whether it be through the Golf Marathon Fund, which supports junior golfers in financial need, or made an Annual Fund contribution in previous years – we THANK YOU! If your financial situation allows you to continue your generous giving, we would ask you to consider supporting the IJGA in any way that you are able. Donations to the IJGA Annual Fund can be made online or by check. The IJGA is a 501(c)3 organization; therefore, your commitment to the IJGA is fully tax deductible. Inside this issue, you will find the 2019 MAJGT Spring Schedule, a list of IJGA and MAJGT members from the Class of 2019 who have signed a National Letter of Intent and more! As you prepare for the upcoming holiday season, we extend our best wishes to you and your family! Thank you for taking the time to flip through The Hole Story. Yours Sincerely, JORDAN ABDEL-HAQ Executive Director, IJGA The Hole Story // December 2018 3
