PHOTO CREDIT: PGA TOUR Latinoamérica Tee-K Kelly Victorious at Puerto Planta DR Open IJGA alum Tee-K Kelly, a graduate from The Ohio State University, turned pro in 2016 and has been competing on the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica. He has collected two top-10 finishes which includes a fourth place finish at the BMW Jamaica Classic and his first win, which came at the Puerto Planta DR Open in early June of this year. 6 Kelly finished the tournament at 21-under-par 263, giving him a seven stroke lead over the runner-up. He started the final day with a nine-shot lead, which was the largest 54-hole lead ever recorded on PGA TOUR Latinoamérica. The victory vaulted him into the seventh spot in the Order of Illinois Junior Golf Association “I feel awesome. I played really good golf this week,” the Ohio State University graduate said. “It was nice to get off to a 10-under first round start for lowest round I’ve ever shot in competition by a few. But then, to reaffirm that by keep playing well the remaining three rounds shows a lot about my game.” Kelly followed his opening 61 with rounds of 67, 66 and 69. He was the best of only four players who posted four rounds in the sixties at the 6,805-yard par-71 hosting the eighth event of the Latin American season. Kelly was making his fifth start of his career/season on PGA TOUR Latinoamérica at the Puerto Plata DR Open after having only gone pro six months ago.
