PM POY CHAMPIONSHIP
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Championship
Contested at the Highlands of Elgin, this one-day, 36-hole event is held
on Monday, August 7, 2017. While the IHSA season practice begins
on August 7, 2017, by IHSA bylaw, players are allowed to compete in
outside events 7 days after the start of the season. IHSA coaches will be
encouraged to let IJGA members participate in the POY Championship,
even if their team has a scheduled practice that day.
REQUIREMENTS FOR INVITE:
In order to be eligible, the player must have played in at least 3 point
awarding events. Events that do NOT award points include: Parent-
Junior Events, Championship Qualifiers, the Medinah Country Shrine,
and the DuPage County Junior Classic.
