This woman was also facing a Goliath in the name of the disease that had made her bleed for 12 years. Her goliathic disease had also tried to intimidate her by worsening despite her seeking specialist treatment. This disease had also drained her finances since she had spent all her money moving from one doctor to another seeking a cure. But, this woman did not let the “incurability” of her disease or the fact that she was running low on funds intimidate her into accepting to live while waiting for death. She sought Jesus and spoke positive words of faith regardless of all the negative words that had been spoken about her condition by the doctors. Therefore, proclaim your victory even before you begin battling with your Goliath. As you do so, believe that the Lord your God does not save you with physical swords or spears or medications or money or technology or whatever else you are lacking that is making your situation look hopeless.
So, if your enemy is using millions of dollars and lawyers to fight you when you do not have even one, do not be intimidated and despair. Give the battle to the Lord like David did when he said, “The battle is the Lord’s and He will give you into our hands.” (1 Samuel 17:47) Commit your challenge to God and believe that He will give you the victory.
Not by might or by power but by My Spirit. (Zechariah 4:6)
Even if the battle you are facing is with a deadly disease that is genetically protected from medications and therapies used to treat similar conditions, like Goliath was “heavily protected by his armor” believe that you can still win and be healed not by might, or by power but by God’s spirit. Believe that you can still win and be cured even if your illness carries a bronze javelin and spear that enables it to penetrate and destroy many cells in your body.
The battle is the Lord’s. (1 Samuel 17:47)
