In my previous article , I wrote about an exercise taken from the movement of the birds ’ wings . A simple exercise which would strengthen our lungs and help us breathe without much stress and tension . That information was to get connected with readers here ; to show a simplistic natural approach which can also help in inner healing .

Apart from natural energy flow and its purpose to balance our very life , all jargons , complex terms and abstract equations are clearly avoided here .
So , come discover a naturalistic method of communication where the language is simple , easily understood and adapted . It is the language spoken to me by my grandfather who was a very popular traditional medicine man , philosopher and a spiritual healer in the early seventies .
I literally lived with him in my younger days and was fortunate to have enjoyed a special closeness . He taught me the Indian traditional martial arts , Siddha ( herbal ) values and most importantly his fundamental belief .
That we are brought into this world to undo mysteries to connect them together with a purposeful meaning to heal the world and that “ Food is medicine and medicine is food ”.
I ’ m going to share a simple almanac applied by him and his people to identify the human body in relation to the environment and seasons .
Since this article starts off a new year , 2021 , the first year of our new norm where social distancing and the mask have become part and parcel of our lifestyle ; this general almanac will share information on how the body actually responds to the environment .
To help us understand the year ahead , we are showing you a simple eco-biological almanac which is based on time , season and the human biological clock .
This should not be associated with astrology , numerology and other similar predictive systems .
My grandfather would always speak of two extremes whenever he comes across a patient .
He would say ,“ See the fever , it needs a body to show that it exists . The body on the other hand needs to take in the fever to win over it so that it knows how strong it is now .”
Annual time chart
He would take the day and the night to define this difference . Let us look at the moon period and the sun period in a day .
We come in contact with the sun in the morning , feeling refreshed and energised but as we reach the afternoon and towards evening , the same sun rays make us wane and we reach a lethargic state . By 6pm , we are tired physically and mentally .
Now look at the moon . From approximately 7pm onwards until the sunrise in the morning , it does not make us go through different variations through our bodily state . It is soothing and calm all through the period of its presence .
Let us look at the human body . The top part of our body which represents the upper middle circle of the moon chart and the lower part of our body represents the sun . Physical food in its purest and fresh form goes through our mouth and transforms both as energy and finally being discharged from our body through our anal duct .
Though some people due to physical conditions , wake up in the night to relieve themselves , generally it is not the norm . Where else in the daytime , once you have

woken up , everyone goes to pass motion at least one to three times a day .
Imagine a human figure inside the chart ; north represents the head and south represents the digestive ( large intestine ), urinary and reproductive organ . One , the entry point of positive energy , north and the other , exit point of negative energy , south .
Now , look at the chart again . You would see an annual time chart added to the circle . Watch closely and you would note on the north of the circle at the point of the head , the month April is placed . While in the south of the circle , you will find mid-October . Your east represents July and west represents January .
This simple almanac was designed to explain the bodily function according to the season . April , which is represented by the north and at the time of 12 midnight , it is the entry point of positive cosmic energy . This means , the body ’ s positive operation begins at this point . It is also interesting to note that the general trend in the business world blooms and is accepted as the profitable period in a year until September .
INNER HEALING

Whereas 12 noon is in the south of the chart which represents mid-October . It is a time where the sun is at its peak , the body tires and hunger sets in . A time when the lower part of the body is activated more than the head .
Cleansing the body
In this article , we are going to talk about the period of bodily cleansing .
In this new norm , living healthily and organised is very important for the wellbeing of ourselves due to the many restrictions of limited exposure to the environment . It is only advisable to keep the body fit and healthy so that our immune system will be in balance .
Now , imagine the period after September leading to the new year . In China , seven days national holiday is given from Oct 1-7 . It is during mid-autumn time when the days are shorter with the nights being colder - a little inconsistency in the weather chart .
In the mid of this month , the neighbouring country , India celebrates a nine-day festival , ‘ Navarathri ’, to revitalise blood circulation , to recharge bones and calm the inner darkness of the body . This is done to rejuvenate and detox the body for it to continue the periodic time without much damage in the body system .
This period was chosen by the ancient people as a time to detox the body by fasting and increasing fluid intake . By consuming fibre based fluid , they cleanse the body until the end of December , to start a fresh and energetic cycle .
Referring to the chart , from October till December , the general public of the world reduce their mind activity , businesses and look towards relaxation and leisure . This is the most appropriate time for the detox plan to clean the bowel , the anal duct , urinary duct and release toxic waste from the body .
Right now , with the new norm that has distorted our diet pattern that is storing more toxic waste in our body , this detox program should be given a lot of importance .
Consult your dietician , physician or licensed alternative medicine practitioners for an effective detox program . It is advisable to do seven days or more to wholesomely cleanse the body . Children can do with a minimum two-day program .
I still remember , until the age of 18 , our immediate family members never complained about constipation bouts , heat boils and other toxic related problems . Our grandfather was there , giving us a detox boost every year . But after his demise , we gradually forgot .
This time , I started on this program and can feel the body is cleansing and refreshing itself .
Let us start this new year by learning the natural process of eco-body balance .
