Dictionary.com: Steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement. Coach K: Sticking with something and not giving up. Lizzie A. (6th grade): To not give up and keep trying. Megan R. (7th grade): When you fall down, get back up. Ava E. (5th grade): Never give up and always try your hardest. Bella M. (2nd grade): I think it means to try your hardest and never give up. Kinnera T. Student Recognition: Keeley P. – Dancing her way to London By: Ciara C. On April 11th, a sixth grade student at GHS went to London for the World Championship for Irish Dancing. Her name is Keeley P. Her dance team earned a spot in the world’s competition for Irish dance. Her team competed against other really good teams from all over the world. Her team was a regional champion, as well as a national champion. She said she was excited, nervous, and determined when she first found out, and she was glad she made her dance teachers and team proud. “It’s not about beating certain teams, or placing first, it’s about making yourself proud and dancing your best.”-Keeley Result: Keeley performed great in London! She ended up placing second in one category and FIRST in another! She is officially
